Fighting Ebola

Bat meat is often served in a Guinean spicy stew called "kedjenou". The dish is a favourite in southeastern Guinea, which is the center of the current outbreak. Guinean authorities- fighting the disease- have now banned the sales of bat-meat and other bushmeat delicacies.
Having a manageable and disease-free meat source is crucial for Liberia. We at Liberia Wildlife Conservancy are calling on all Liberians, home and abroad, to engage or support Liberia's agriculture industry, especially cattle raising. Together we can make a difference.

Ebola in Liberia
Health report from Liberia confirmed that Ebola virus has entered the country through Guinea. Two to four persons in Lofa county have been struck by the deadly virus. West African authorities are urging international community to help contain the epidemic before it spreads throughout the region.Read more
The photo above shows how most deadly diseases of the wild spread from species to species to man. This is why LWC advocates for managed meat supply sources instead of bush meatproduct from hunters who have no mains of assessing the health of the animals they kill for sales to the public.

Presidency for USAA Florida Chapter
The United Sarpo Association in the Americas (USAA) held its general elections on July 6, 2013 in Philadelphia PA. Mr. Obaku T. Nyomeh won the highest office of the association, the Presidency. Mr. Nyomah, a member of USAA Florida chapter, promised his chapter before departure to instill peace among American Sapo, foster education for Sapo youths both at home and abroad, and ensure that modern health care services reach Sapo villages in Liberia.
